Hello everyone hope your all well, today I will be sharing the ways I like to relax and unwind after a long hard day, because sometimes you just need some time for yourself, so these are the ways I like to do it.
Reading- Now I’ve just started to get into reading again and I’ve fallen I love with it once more, the book I’m reading at the moment is ‘a Christmas kiss’ by Vicky Pattinson and I’m really loving it at the moment.
Knitting- This one may seem a little old fashioned for my generation but I recently brought a starter knitting kit and have been obsessed with it ever since, and it is surprisely really relaxing and chills me out big time.
Hot bubble bath- This is my favourite way to relax, nothing is better than a nice hot bubble bath especially if you use lush products.
Face/ hair mask- This one goes along with the bath so you sit in there read a book and just soak whilst your face/hair mask is doing its thing.
Chill out listening to music- This one is a good one I like to just lay on my bed, put my headphones in and pick a playlist on Spotify and close my eyes and just take in the music, my favourite chill out artist is Ed sheeran or James Bay.Here is some of my favourite playlists on Spotify-
So here is some ways I like to chill out after a hard day at work, sorry there isn’t that many, I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and I apologise for not posting in a while but I’ve had the flu and been in bed asleep for about 4 days so not been able to post, but I’m starting to get back to sort of normal so I’am back. thank you for reading this post and don’t forget to like and share.

Hello hope everyone is well, today I was thinking that since it will soon be Valentine’s Day that you may need some ideas on what you and your other half could do on mark the occasion and so I have come up with a few for you to try out, there is one for every budget so here is my list.
Movie and Dinner– Me and my Fiancé like to do this on a regular basis we like to go somewhere to eat, we will then go and see what films are on in the local cinema, this is a classic but a favourite of ours. Budget-££
Picnic Day or Night– This one is more for when it’s slightly warmer but it is a cheap way to have a date with the one you love, you get to talk and eat what more could you want, you just need to pack up the food you would want and a blanket and find a patch of grass and set up, you could do this in the day or at night. Budget-£
Stargazing– You could mix number 2 and this one together if you do it at night, this is a great one which is really romantic aswell, you could even try and spot the constellations. Budget- Free/ £
Walk at beach or local park– This is a good one to get to know someone better, again you could pack a picnic and really make a day of it, another classic one but I really enjoy this one, even after 4 years of being with my other half, we always have something to talk about, plus it’s nice to just relax and unwind with the surroundings. Budget- free/£
Movie/game night in– A firm favourite of my fiancé, he loves getting the PlayStation out and playing some Fifa, battlefield and call of duty together, which I don’t mind we normally get some snacks and order takeaway and just munch whilst either watching a film on Netflix or playing a video game. Budget-£
Cook dinner together– This is rare one for me since we don’t live together yet but we’ve done this one before and I’ve loved it because you can teach each other little bits about cooking that the other didn’t, you can even lay the table like they do in restaurants and even get some candles if you wanted. Budget-££
Barbecue– A great one for summer time, we like to get one of those disposable barbecues and get some burgers and hot dogs and cook them up and maybe have a few beers whilst they are cooking. Budget-£
Visit local garden center– We used to do this one all the time since we live quite close to one, we would go around and look at all the gardens and fish that they had, and our local one also had a cafe so we would go and get a drink and an ice cream and great one for getting to know someone again. Budget-£
Bike ride together– Now we rarely done this one since I’m not very stable on a bike, but we went a couple of times and loved it (except the times I fell off). We would go around a park or ride to the garden center together which was nice to make a day of it.Budget-££
Shopping– This one is nice if you can get to somewhere that has little shops where you can get into and it’s not to busy, we live In a small town, but sometimes we just go somewhere else just to get away, we love to go to Winchester for shopping. Budget-££
Fairground/ arcades– Another favourite of ours, when we go to butlins resort on holiday, our favourite part is the arcades and fairground we turn into big kids and go abit crazy on the claw machines, this one is great for couples who aren’t Afraid to act like a big kid infront of people. Budget-£
Swimming– I know this ones not for everyone but it can be a great time for people who do like to have a bit of childish fun again, and don’t forget to go on all of the slides and water rides they have at you local pool. Budget-£
Bowling– Another fun one but this is a really great one to have a bit of fun together and a little bit of competition against each other can be healthy. Budget-£
Fruit/veg picking– This one is only certain times of the year but can be really fun going thorough the fields so if you’ve got a local picking field near you I totally recommend this one for a date idea. Budget-£
Bake together– Much like number 6 but bake something sweet like cupcakes or cookies, even try my lemon cupcakes recipe, my fiancé loved them. Budget-£
Weekend away– This one can be quite expensive but travel somewhere you’ve never been before or even your local town and book into a hotel there go out for dinner or watch a film and enjoy the city like a tourist. Budget-£££
Just desserts date– This one is for the sweet tooth lovers out there, go to your local gelato or dessert place mine is sprinkles in Southampton town center, they are normally open until 12am, so you can just have dessert instead of a meal out. Budget-££
Visit and new place together– Again this is a really nice one to get to know each other, you just need to drive or get a different mode of transport to a destination that you or your partner has never been to before, so you can be like tourists for the day or even do number 16 and book into a hotel and stay for the weekend, me and my partner got a ferry to the Isle of Wight last year for his birthday and looked around the island and booked into a hotel in southampton for when we go back to mainland.Budget- £££
So these was the few date ideas I had, ready for Valentine’s Day, I hope you enjoyed this post and don’t forget to like and share on social media.
Good morning everyone, today I will be talking about this magical thing called fruit infused water. Now as one of my New Years resolutions I am trying to start a healthier lifestyle, which includes drinking more water, but sometimes just plain old water can be boring so I brought a special fruit infuser bottle and then I like to add some thing extra to add some flavour to it in the form of sliced fruit, you can add anything that you want but these are some of the ones I like to use.
Lemons- Not only do they add great flavour but they boost the immune system, aids in digestion, aids in weight loss, high in vitamins, anti inflammatory and they act as a metabolism booster.
Cucumbers- This adds great flavour And also aids in digestion, boosts the immune system, aids in weight loss and helps with weight and sugar control.
Oranges- This makes the flavour of the water nice a sweet and adds something different into to taste of the water, but they can also aid digestion, boost the immune system and is high in vitamins and acts as an antioxidant.
Mint- This adds a fresh clean taste to the water and is great to boost both the immune system and metabolism and can also help with weight loss.
Limes- This is a lot like the lemon but can add a sweeter less bitter taste to the water and can also help control weight loss and is rich in vitamins.
Blueberries- This adds a strong sweet taste to water which makes it less boring, they are also aid in weight loss and they are rich in vitamins which means they are also a great antioxidant.
Ginger- Now this one may not be for everyone since it adds quite a bitter taste to the water which may not be for everyone but this one is great for the immune system and digestion, it also helps with weight and sugar control, so if you like the taste of ginger this one is a great one.
Kiwi- This is another great one with quite a few pros, it adds an amazing flavour to the water and on top of that it helps lower blood pressure and is high in vitamins.
Pomegranates- This adds great flavour and is quite easy to buy just a pot of the seeds in the supermarket, not only that but they have the added bonus of lowering blood pressure, detox and acting as a natural anti inflammatory and they are high in vitamins so it’s a win win.
You can also have each individually or you can mix and match here is some ideas I found On Pinterest-
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, I got my fruit infuser bottle for ALDI supermarket, but you can find them quite easily in other shops now, or you can just put them in a glass or bottle with out the infuser. Thank you for reading this post and don’t forget to like and share with your friends on your social media pages.

So these are my 2017 resolutions, I was quite glad to see the back of 2016 since it was quite a rough year for me I slipped a disc in my back and lost my job because of it, I then was unemployed for sometime and there was a few deaths in the family one being my lovely cat which I’ve had since I was 5 years old RIP sindy. But at the end of November things started to look up and I now have a wonderful job which I love and me and my partner is looking to move into our own place so hopefully this year our dream will come true. I do need to apologise for the long break I have had over the Christmas period, where I started a new job I’ve just been so busy And I had to work a 12 hour shift on Christmas Day so any time that I did have was spent with my family and loved ones so I haven’t been able to post on here but it has calmed down now so I will be posting more on here, so I hope you all enjoy what is to come, thank you so much and I wish you all a happy new year and lets make 2017 the best one yet.
Hello everybody, today I will be writing about why I HATE going to the hairdressers, Now as you may know I actually trained and completed my NVQ level 2 & 3 in hairdressing a few years ago,so you may be thinking why do you hate hairdressers if you are one , well I no longer do it as I am a care assistant in a care home, but I have always hated it even when I was doing the profession so these are my reasons.
MOST hairdressers are BITCHES- pardon my language on this one.Now this doesn’t apply to all hairdressers out there, but every hairdresser I have ever known, been too and worked with have been complete bitches. In fact just the other day I was walking past the hairdressers I go to and the manager was outside with another stylist and said ” at least your hair isn’t as bad as hers” and pointed to me, now baring in mind I was right next to them and me being a loud mouth I turned round and told them that I was one of their clients and I told them where to stick it.
They never get it right- Now this is just my experience, I ask for a certain cut, colour etc and they do it completely different to want I explained, I have even shown pictures before and they still get it wrong, In fact some of the best hair colours and cuts I’ve had have been done at home. As I will show you I have had some quite crazy hair styles done by trained hairdressers.
Finding conversation starters- I am quite a quiet and shy person at the best of times, let alone when I’m in a room with strangers starring at you, in front of mirrors which you have got to see yourself in the most unflattering way. Then you’ve got to try and have a conversation with someone who doesn’t want to talk to you and you probably would never talk to if you wasn’t with them for a good couple of hours.
Time it takes- This one isn’t so bad but the last time I went to get my hair done it took 4 1/2 hours which is just ridiculous amount of time to be sat still in one place, I had one serious numb bum once I was finished in there.
The end results- This all depends on the stylist you have but everytime I’ve had my hair cut and sometimes even coloured, sometimes I walk out with my hair looking exactly the same as it did when I walked in, or even worse as the above images show, then they charge £70+ for the honour.
Sensitive scalp- I have a sensitive scalp, always have and probably always will, now I have very thick, tangled hair which gets knotted very easy, so I hardly brush my hair myself with my tangle teaser because it hurts too much, let alone when you have someone that’s rough handed trying to get through it with a comb, it’s torture to try and sit through it with out punching the woman in the face or screaming.
The FAKENESS- As I have experienced the hairdressing profession behind the scenes you may or may not be surprised when I tell you practically all hairdressers are FAKE in some way shape or form, they don’t really care about your life or even if they do a good hair cut as long as they distract you enough and make you believe that they done a good job and youare giving them money they don’t care, it’s all an act as my old boss said it’s the Hairdressers smile, forced and fake, she also told me that most hairdressers concentrate on what you can see as it doesn’t matter if it’s good on what a client can’t see.
So these was some of my reasons why I don’t like going to get my hair done at a hairdressers, and also some of the reasons why I am no longer in that profession, so I hope you like this style of post, and it would be great if you wanted to tell me some of the reasons why you don’t like going to the hairdressers. Thank you for reading my post.
Hello everyone hope your all well, now as I’m writing this I am sat in costa drinking one of their gingerbread lattes, whilst in a shopping mall which is all decorated for Christmas and so I was thinking about my favourite holiday themed films. So here are my top 5 for you.
Elf- This film is a classic in our house, I need to watch it every year to help get me in the Christmassy mood, it is a family comedy which will never get old in my opinion.
The Santa Clause 1,2 & 3 – This is another family classic comedy, starring Tim Allen, all 3 is just as good as the first, which is very unusual for sequels.
Home alone- Yet again it’s not Christmas unless home alone is on the TV, unlike The Santa Claus the sequels was definitely not as good as the first, which is a true classic holiday film.
Polar express- This one is an amazing film , I mean I love any film that has Tom Hanks in so it is a win win, because it is a film you get defiantly get cosy and watch.
How the grinch stole Christmas- Dr Seuss is one of my favourite children’s authors, so when they brought out this movie version of the book , I used to watch it over and over again, since I also love Jim Carrey I couldn’t help but watch it, especially seeing his portrayal is so hilarious, a favourite for all of my family.
So these are my Top 5 Christmas films, I hope you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to like and follow my blog so you know when I post in the future, thank you.
