Italian inspired Chicken Burgers.

Hello everybody today I will be posting my recipe for my boyfriends favourite meal that I make for him. Since I am vegetarian I do not eat these but I do cook them for Conor since he is a fussy eater and he isn’t the best cook in the world and if I let him he would live on chicken nuggets and chips alone, so here is my recipe for an amazing chicken burger for fussy eaters.

You will need.

1 Chicken Breast per burger
1 Teaspoon Red/green pesto
Handful of Breadcrumbs
Ciabatta rolls
Slices of buffalo Mozzarella
Slices of Tomato
Lettuce
Mayonnaise

Method:

  1. Butterfly and flatten out your chicken breast till they are flat enough so it will cook evenly.
  2. Spread the pesto onto the chicken on both sides.
  3. Next place your chicken breast into the breadcrumbs and coat until it sticks to the pesto.
  4. Heat up some oil in a frying pan then cook the breaded chicken until cooked all the way through and the breadcrumbs have gone golden.
  5. whilst your chicken is cooking prepare your other bits for your burgers so slice your ciabatta rolls in half spread on mayonnaise, place on some leaves of lettuce, then some slices of tomato and lastly a slice of buffalo mozzarella make sure this is in top so when you place on the chicken it will melt so make sure it is on top of all the other extras.
  6. Now once your chicken is cooked fully place on top on mozzerella place on the top bun and enjoy.

So there you have a really easy 6 step meal that is tasty and fussy eater approved. I normally serve it with some homemade chips cooked in the oven for 40 minutes with some oil, salt and pepper on top they are delicious.

Staying Fit for Summer.

Hi everyone hope your all well, this is my first post back after moving house, now there will be post regarding the move coming soon but today I will be writing about the different things I have been doing to keep fit whilst ive been busy moving house and will be carried on doing through out my hectic lifestyle. So I discovered this wonderful fitness and cardio app on my phone called Aaptiv, this handy app allows you to find different workouts with personal trainers on each class and then lets you go back to the workouts that you have previously done, you can also favourite your best workouts so you can go back to them whenever you want and with over 100, 10 minutes workouts it is great whilst on the move, whether your travelling the world or in my case moving house, whilst I was moving the weather really heated up and the sun was out, which I love for workouts since you feel like you are soaking up some of vitamin D from the sun and I always just feel more productive and refreshed when the sun is out. Now the Aaptiv app really made hot weather workouts so much more easier, my personal favourite is the yoga workout called Good morning yoga wake up, this really helped get my body ready for the day ahead especially if I had a long day ahead of me plus it only take 10 minutes so it is easy to fit in to a busy schedule. As well as the Yoga I also enjoy a power walk in the summer weather my favourite on the app is the summer Fun + Sand this class comes with a great built-in workout playlist which all together lasts for 28 minutes. Now even though the classes on the app come with a playlist sometimes you just want to listen to your own style of music to get you in the right mindset to get moving, so here is my top 5 workout songs for summer Playlist.

Now I do love a good outdoor workout so you need to make sure you have all of the essentials with you and some of mine are a good water bottle that can hold plenty of water to keep you hydrated in this hot weather, another essential of mine would be an on arm phone holder strap to keep your playlist and trainer on aaptiv going through out your workout so you don’t have the problem of dropping your phone and interrupting your workout. I also like to take with me a compact first aid kit since I am quite the accident prone this is always a good idea weather you get a blister or something worse you will always be prepared.

So this was what I’ve been doing to keep fit during the summer and will carry on to do for the rest of the year since Aaptiv have workouts for outdoors and indoors and it is so easy to navigate the app that I will not have a problem sticking to this program. This post was inspired by #TeamAaptiv, a fitness and cardio app with fun, outdoor fit for summer programs. All of the opinions in this post are of my own.

Unique Gifting with UncommonGoods

Hello everyone, hope your all well? Today I will be writing this post promoting this fantastic website Uncommongoods. Now I’m not the most creative when it comes to gifts for others I always find myself buying the same boring presents every year for every different occasion, so I always find it useful when I find a website such as this one, which has so many different, unique options to choose from. It will soon be mine and my partners 5-year anniversary coming up so I started to look for anniversary gifts on a budget, some of my favourites are: the personalized anniversary pushpin world map (1), The Date Night Bucket List (2) and also the wishing wall gift (3). These are all one of a kind that I would never have thought of by myself, for more original anniversary gifts visit UncommonGoods here.

As some of you may also know we are engaged, so I am always looking for quirky little things that look like they come from my Pinterest feed so when I noticed they also have some great gifts for bridesmaids and groomsmen I started to look through and found some right treasures, some of my favourites under the bridesmaids category was: a woman’s determination Necklace (1) , the Spa in a Bag(2) and the Poetry match striker (3), visit Uncommongoods to see more unique gifts for Bridesmaids like these. For the groomsmen I let my partner look through the website and these are some of his favourites which he picked for his groomsmen: The Equation Geek watch (4) and also The Charcoal Grill Toolbox (5).Go to the UncommonGoods website here for a selection of great gifts for groomsmen. They ship internationally so it’s no problem if you live in the UK or the US,or anywhere else in the world, just check on the site.

When I find a website like this one I like to do a bit of research in to the company’s background and I found their mission statement which is that, they want to change the way business is done, by making sure that they work towards making UncommonGoods a more environmentally friendly, socially responsible company. They focus solely on making a positive Impact in the workplace as well as in the world. They also offer creative and exciting merchandise which is handmade using recycled and Organic products, they have the ethic where they do not sell products containing leather, feathers or fur, so they are animal and human friendly which speaking as an avid animal lover and vegetarian makes me even happier to make a purchase.

I really enjoyed looking through this website and believe me I have just touched on a few of the amazing products that they offer on the website, I have made an order of some of my favourites, so I can’t wait to receive them, I have a feeling that this website is going to change my gifting game forever.

The Body Shop Fuji green tea, Bath Tea review

Hi everyone today I will be posting my review on The body shops Fuji green tea, Bath tea, now when I saw this in their store I was intrigued so I brought the tea its self and the cool little diffuser that was sold separately. Now it is quite pricey, the tea infuser was £6 and for the actual bath tea was £12, however in the pot you get quite a lot of product so it isn’t too bad For the price. Now with the infuser it has a chain attached so that you can put it on the part of your bath where the chain of the plug is attached to, like it is demonstrated in the image. The scent is very therapeutic and you feel as though you are in a spa, however one thing I noticed is that it is very strong scented so if your not a fan of heavily perfumed products then this may not be for you. So you fill up the infuser about half way with the product and just fill up your bath and it turns it in to this almost milky mixture that I could just tell wa showing to do wonders for my skin, and it really did my skin in fact never felt better after this bath and I felt thoughly relaxed so this one is a great one for bed. One downside is the clean up of the infuser as there are quite a few bits that stay in there and you will need to clean out but all I did was run water through and it soon came out. So over all I would recommend this product to anyone that has trouble with relaxing before bed or relaxing in general, I have defiently added it to my pamper routine before bed. Over all it give this product ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Thank you

Easy Cherry fairy cakes recipe.

Hello everyone and today I will be posting this recipe on my cherry fairy cakes now they are filled with scrumptious glacé cherries they are so yummy, so here’s the recipe I hope you enjoy.

Makes 12 cupcakes.

Cake Sponge method-

  1. Preheat oven to 180°c gas mark 4,  and line your cupcake tray with your cupcake cases.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar in a bowl until fluffy and lighter in colour.
  3. Add in the eggs, vanilla extract and milk and mix until light and creamy in texture.
  4.  Sieve the flour and baking powder into the mixture and mix together until light and fluffy.
  5. Now chop 3/4 of your glacè cherries in quarters and add to the mixture, your going to need to leave out the other 1/4 of the pot to decorate the cakes later.
  6. Next spoon in even amounts of mixture into your cases about half of the case should be fine.
  7. Put your cupcakes in your preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes checking on them throughout to make sure they are not over cooking.
  8. Once cooked take out and cool on cooling rack, once they have completely cooled you can the decorate them.

Buttercream icing method-

  1. Using a electric whisk or a spatula or wooden spoon, beat together the room temperature butter until it becomes lighter in colour and like mayonnaise in texture.
  2. Once you have achieved this, sieve in the icing sugar.
  3. Now add in your vanilla extract and milk, and mix together until all the ingredients are blended and it’s looking fluffy and light in colour. If using a electric whisk make sure not to over whisk, so keep an eye on it as this can happen quite quickly.
  4. Once your cakes have completely cooled, now this is also important since if they are still warm then the icing will melt right of the cupcakes, place your icing into a piping bag with a star nozzle and start piping which ever design your desire, you can also spread on your buttercream using a palette knife like I did since I didnt have any piping bags.
  5. Now to top off your cupcakes with the rest of the cherries you saved and cut them in half and place on top of each cupcake and voila you have 12 delicious cupcakes to enjoy.

Thank you for reading this post I hope you found this useful, these are one of my favourite cakes. I always enjoy baking cakes I find it very therapeutic so I had a baking session the other day and made
these and some of my yummy lemon curd cupcakes but from scratch, which I have a recipe on (link in photo).
